Lock gateway

In order to use the gateway lock, at least app version 1.17 and firmware version 1.14 must be installed. The gateway lock is only available for the V6 series.

Since the app version 1.17 it is possible to protect the gateway against changes by putting it in a “locked” mode. In this mode, it is not possible to make changes to the system, except for tasks. The tasks can still be activated / deactivated. It is not possible to teach additional devices to the system or to delete existing devices from the system. It is also not possible to make changes to tasks or the alarm.

The gateway lock and the alarm are closely linked. If the alarm is activated, the gateway is automatically locked to avoid changes to the system. If the alarm is deactivated, the system lock is not automatically released.

Important: the alarm PIN and the PIN of the gateway lock are always the same.

To lock a gateway, go to Settings → Gateway. Then select the gateway to be locked. Now go to the expert settings. There you will find the “Lock” or “Unlock” button if the gateway is already locked.

If you tap on “Lock”, the gateway can be locked.

If one or more gateways are locked, this will be indicated on the dashboard:

The gateways can be unlocked by tapping the icon. Another way is to go back to the expert settings of the gateway and unlock the gateway there.

Change PIN

The PIN can be changed via the expert settings of the gateway. To do this, go to Settings → Gateway. Here you select the gateway for which the PIN is to be changed. Then go to the expert settings. There you will find the “Lock” button. Tapping on Lock opens the “Lock” dialog. There you will find the “Change PIN” button.

Important: The default PIN is: 0000 and should be changed after intial installation. The saved PIN cannot be restored. If the PIN is lost, the system must be reset.
