QR code archive

Many components are equipped with unique QR code IDs or keys, which can be sanned to teach-in the devices. To avoid losing QR codes , IQONTROL offers the possibility to save QR codes in the app and save them in the cloud. Saved QR codes can be easily selected again when teaching the device. This completely eliminates the scanning process.

If there are many devices with QR codes, you can simply scan them in before teaching. This speeds up the learning process.

Save QR code

To save a QR code before teaching, go to Settings → QR code archive and tap the “+” in the top right corner and select “Add QR code” to create a QR code.

Scan the code and enter a name. The manufacturer is important. Only QR codes of this manufacturer can be selected again when teaching. Finally save the code.

Load QR codes

If you have already added some QR codes in another configuration, you can load them into the current configuration. To do this, go to the QR code archive and tap the “+” in the top right corner of the screen. Now select “Load QR Codes”. Then select the configuration from which the QR codes are to be imported and enter the configuration password. Set the option “Extend” or “Replace”. With “extend” the already saved QR codes are kept. With “Replace” the existing QR codes are replaced.

Tap on “Load”. The QR codes of the configuration are now imported.

Use QR codes

For devices that use a QR code, there is a button “QR code archive” in addition to “QR code scanning” in the learning process. As an alternative to scanning, the QR code can be loaded from the archive.

Save QR codes

Since QR codes are always configuration-based, the current configuration simply has to be saved in the cloud in order to create a backup of the QR codes. If the configuration is loaded, the QR codes are loaded again.
