The V6 Plus can not only be operated via LAN, but also via WLAN.
To use WLAN it is necessary to connect a WLAN stick to the V6 Plus. We have tested the following USB sticks and recommend them for use with the V6 Plus:
Other WLAN sticks may also be suitable, but have not been tested, therefore we cannot state about the WLAN functionality with other sticks.
First connect one of the WLAN sticks listed above to a free USB port on the V6 Plus, but do not disconnect the V6 Plus from the LAN for now.
IMPORTANT: During the entire WLAN connection setup process, the V6 Plus must be connected to the network via LAN.
Open the ConfigTool NEO, select your V6 Plus, click on Unlock forms and enter your password if one has been set.
Afterwards a new tab WLAN appears in the ConfigTool NEO below Networks.
You can choose from the list of available WLANs in your area, enter the password and connect the gateway to your WLAN.
The gateway reboots and the ConfigTool NEO opens on the start page. Click the Refresh icon to display the gateway under the new IP address.
IMPORTANT: Your gateway gets a new IP address when you switch from LAN to WLAN . Please remember to also enter this IP address in the AIO CREATOR NEO in the device manager or in IQONTROL NEO in the gateway settings.
To set the network settings for your WLAN connection and e.g. assign a static IP address, go to Network.
Open the ConfigTool NEO and click on Unlock forms to display the WLAN tab. You can now connect the V6 Plus to another WLAN or disconnect from the current WLAN.
My WLAN is not listed: The V6 Plus only supports the following WLAN authentications: WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK.
WPA-EAP or WPA2-EAP are not supported.
My WLAN is listed, but is greyed out: The V6 Plus can only connect to WLAN connections whose name is shorter than 32 bytes. Enter a shorter name for your WLAN and try again to connect.
The WLAN tab does not appear : The tab only appears when you click on Unlock Forms and enter your password (if set).
My gateway is listed twice in the ConfigTool : If you connect your gateway in the same network via WLAN and LAN, it will be listed twice in the ConfigTool, 1x with the LAN IP and 1x with the WLAN IP.
My gateway suddenly flashes yellow and cannot be reached : Your gateway has no WLAN connection and is also not connected via LAN. Connect your gateway to the network via LAN to re-establish the WLAN connection if necessary.
